pumpkins

This October in art class, first grade students have been working on painted pumpkins!

They started by working together to draw their pumpkins. To do this, students slowly worked with pencil and could add a face if they wanted. Then, students worked hard to trace over their pencil lines with oil pastel.

During the next class, students focused on slowly painting their pumpkins with tempera paint.

Next, students used watercolors on a large sheet of paper to create a background for their cute pumpkins!

And finally, students cut their pumpkins out and glued them onto their backgrounds!
