Kids Heart Challenge

Each year, Longfellow proudly participates in the Kids Heart Challenge, sponsored by the American Heart Association. Through this program, students learn how to keep their hearts, bodies, and brains healthy while helping other children live longer, healthier lives.

Students have the opportunity to collect donations that support important research and medical advancements through the American Heart Association. These efforts help children with special hearts receive the care they need so they can do everything their friends can do!

Longfellow’s goal this year is to raise $7,500 by Friday, March 27. So far, our students have raised an incredible $4,484, which means we have just over $3,000 left to reach our goal. We’re getting close!

As students help raise money for a great cause, they can also earn fun prizes along the way. Students receive a wristband just for registering online, earn prizes at different fundraising levels, and receive a special mystery gift for every $50 raised.

If you haven’t registered your child or started collecting donations yet, it’s not too late! Our Kids Heart Challenge continues through Friday. To register and collect online donations, visit heart.org/schools. Cash and check donations are also accepted and should be sent to school by Friday.

Thank you for supporting our students as they learn healthy habits and make a difference in the lives of others!.
