As October comes to an end, our elementary artists have been busy creating some spooky and colorful masterpieces in art class! Students across grade levels have been exploring different art techniques and materials while putting their own creative spin on some fun, spooky projects.
Kindergarten students created adorable pumpkin cats using oil pastels and watercolor. Following a directed drawing, students practiced their drawing skills and brought their spooky cats to life with bright colors!

First graders have been creating super cool spiders! Students designed and watercolored their very own spider webs before adding spiders made with texture scissors. This project gave students the opportunity to explore texture, practice their cutting skills, and create unique works of art.

Second graders explored the art concept of overlapping by creating stacked pumpkins. Using oil pastels and watercolor, students experimented with layering shapes and colors to make their pumpkin artwork come to life.

We love seeing our young artists explore new techniques, express their creativity, and bring their ideas to life. Our art rooms are full of spooky, colorful fun this fall!
