With deep ties to the Marion community, Ann shares, “MISD is truly a tight-knit community. With this in mind, it's the long-standing relationships I’ve built with families that have filled my heart to the brim over the past 32 years. I’m truly lucky to carry these meaningful connections with me as I retire.”

The VMS 7th and 8th Grade Track and Field teams wrapped up an excellent season last Tuesday evening, with many personal bests achieved. The 8th Grade team earned their third 1st Place team finish of the season. Congratulations on a fantastic season, Wolves!
The VMS Choir Concerts will take place this evening at the new Marion Performing Arts Center. The 5th and 6th Grade Choirs perform at 6:00 pm and the 7th and 8th Grade Choirs perform at 7:00 pm. Good luck to our Vernon musicians!

8th grade girls track athletes show their love for their coach Joyce Kuethe by celebrating a win at last night’s meet. Coach Kuethe, also a retired Marion teacher, wrapped up her final season as coach of 8th grade girls track - a post she has held since 1991. She will be missed!
The VMS Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams will compete this afternoon at 4:15 pm. The boys will compete at the Marion Stadium and the girls travel to Vinton-Shellsburg. Best of luck to our athletes!
VMS Girls Track and Field had two successful meets last week, with Center Point-Urbana on Tuesday and WAMAC on Friday. 7th Grade tied for 3rd Place at CPU and 8th Grade got 1st Place at CPU and 3rd Place at WAMAC. Coaches Menken and Kuethe are very proud of our Vernon athletes!
