Before the halls of FMI fill with students, teachers and staff come together to kick off the 2026-2027 school year with excitement and a shared commitment to student success. In addition to organizing and finalizing preparations for the start of the year, staff members are also participating in professional learning focused on district goals and initiatives for the year ahead.
Behind the scenes, our teachers and associates are working hard to ensure every student is welcomed into a learning environment designed to positively impact their learning. At MISD, our focus is on providing intentional, rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences that incorporate Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ensuring every student has the opportunities and tools needed to own their future.
