Preschool students enjoyed a trip to Fire Station 1 in Marion! Here they learned what firefighters do in the community and when they are back at the station. Preschoolers got to watch fire engines arriving back at the station and a firefighter putting on all his safety gear. #lesinspire #misdinspire

Second graders have been studying Westward Expansion during their CKLA Knowledge block. They heard stories about the pioneers traveling the Oregon Trail 🐴, Native Americans being forced to move from their homes, how inventions like the steamboat and transcontinental railroad 🚂 impacted life, and about the buffalo 🦬 that lived in the area.
