This is Mrs. Rowell! She is Starry's Behavior Strategist and helps put interventions in place for students to be successful. Mrs. Rowell is originally from Minnesota but lives in Springville with her husband and 2 kids. In her free time she loves to read and crochet!

Meet Miss Megan. She is our Title Reading Associate!
Miss Megan has been at Starry for seven years. Outside of school she enjoys volunteering and hanging out with her family. She is also currently going to school for elementary education and to get her title reading and special education endorsements (graduate Fall of 2024).


Here's an opportunity to support Project Graduation, a parent sponsored event for the Marion Seniors of 2024.

Kelli Johnson received the 2023 Iowa Elementary School Counselor of the Year for her dedicated work at MISD's Starry Elementary School as their School Counselor. Kelli received the award at the Iowa School Counselor Association Conference.

The PPEL (Physical Plant and Equipment Levy) vote takes place on Tuesday, November 7th for the Marion Independent School District.

Meet Mrs. Werling!
This is Mrs. Werling’s 2nd year at Starry Elementary teaching Kindergarten. She has previous experience teaching PK and her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, her Kindergarten teammates, and her identical twin sister who is also a Kindergarten teacher!
