For #SchoolLibraryMonth, Starry students received a bingo sheet with activities such as read in a fort, read to a toy, ect. When they achieved a BINGO they got a prize and their name on the BINGO board! A total of 73 students got at least 1 BINGO! #misdinspire #starryinspire

STARRY CARNIVAL INFORMATION!
Our Silent Auction items are available now! The Parent Group has been working very hard at organizing 50 silent auction baskets that will be available at our carnival on Friday, April 28th. Take a look and consider placing an online bid before in-person bidding starts! Bidding is open starting today, Wednesday, April 26th through email. If you would like to place an online bid, send an email to starryparentgroupmarion@gmail.com with your name, phone number, basket # you are bidding on, and your bid amount. Online bidding (through email only!) will end at 3 PM on Friday, 4/28. At this time, the silent auction will transition into in-person bidding only. The silent auction will close at 7:15 PM in person on Friday 4/28. Online bidding is open to all! Winners will be notified on the evening of Friday, April 28th.

Starry 2nd grade students have been learning about arrays during math. Today they played 'Array Concentration' where they worked with a partner to practice finding the total number of objects in arrays and writing corresponding number models. #starryinspire #misdinspire #edchat
In addition to seeing the layers of the Earth through clay models, 1st graders also did a #CKLA culminating activity where they became archeologists and dug up dinosaurs! #knowledgematters #edchat #starryinspire #misdinspire @amplify
Starry 1st graders completed their History of the Earth unit during their #CKLA knowledge unit with making a model of Earth to see the it's layers! They also had some great discussions in groups! @amplify #knowledgematters #edchat #misdinspire #starryinspire
Our Kindergarten classes were excited to welcome "The History Center" to Starry today. They came and discussed how things have changed in history, from Then & Now. This special visit correlated with our Social Studies Long Ago Unit and our CKLA Colonial Towns Unit. CeCe Rabbit, The History Center’s puppet ambassador, spoke to the kids and they not only made their own personal timelines, but they learned how kids played using vintage toys and got to try some out. It was a fun afternoon!
