Marion Independent will have a 2 hour early out, Friday, January 14th due to weather. No evening activities, preschool dismissal at 10:50, no afternoon preschool.


We are running out of loaners to lend to students due to the number of not charged Chromebooks. This is an easy problem to fix. Please remember to plug in those Chromebooks each night so they are charged and ready to go the next day! Parents, please remind your students.

Mrs. Knapp’s 5th grade class got in the holiday spirit by decorating cookies and making yarn ornaments yesterday!





From the planning process to construction and glazing, Mrs. Hale’s 7th grade artists made stunning gingerbread houses out of clay that vary in theme. Pictures don’t do them justice- they are forever keepsakes.





5th grade artists learned how to blend oil pastels to make some beautiful candy canes!


Fifth graders had a blast making stocking hat ornaments out of yarn this week in craft club! 🧶

6th Grade Scientists had the wonderful opportunity to visit with a local beekeeper on Friday! They learned about the importance of bees in our community and opportunities to support the health of our bee populations.

5th graders and their parents wrapped gifts for the Gift of Giving project yesterday. The 5th grade raised enough money to adopt 3 families for the holiday season! 🎁





The students in 6th grade science have been studying insects. They have been investigating live Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches!
