These students were recognized by the Iowa Department of Education for scoring in the top 2% of 2nd and 3rd grade students on the math ISASP assessment. FMI is so proud of our National Math Star Nominees for this special achievement!

Staff at Project Adam (heart safe) Certification at Vernon and FMI. These Emergency response teams have been working hard this year running drills to be prepared to respond to anything and keep our kids safe. Next year we will certify our 2 elementary schools.
3Gu finally got to hold the chicks that hatched after incubating eggs in their classroom! The chicks went on tour to the other classrooms at FMI last week before heading to the farm. Thank you to our families who bring these cool experiences to us to share with our students!🐣🐥

This year Francis Marion was invited to participate in the first Uptown Window Gallery that coincides with the Marion Art Festival. 90 FMI students will have their work on display this year between May 8th and May 18th 2026.
