A big shoutout to those on car duty today! Of course the pouring rain would come right at dismissal. Not one complaint from these smiling faces who made sure your students made it to your car safely and as dry as possible! #lesinspire #misdinspire

Our very own Mrs. O'Brien was recognized yesterday as this month's KCRG A+ for Education award winner! Thank you Mrs. O'Brien for all your hard work and dedication to our students and staff. You truly embody our school's vision of every student, every day. An added bonus, the students had a great time making a commercial! #lesinspire #misdinspire

Isn’t October the MOST fun time to be outside? 🍂 Second graders have been working hard at writing number stories to go along with number models. 🤓 They’ve also been learning a lot during Junior Achievement about different jobs in the community. They even had the chance to open their own pizza place and learned that it’s hard work to take orders, make the pizzas and get them delivered correctly to earn money! 💵 #lesinspire #misdinspire

Help us keep football games fun and safe for all! 🏈
Your respectful and responsible behavior makes a big difference on the experience for all attendees. Here are a few guidelines to follow:
✅ No bags or backpacks are allowed in the stadium
✅ Everyone should be sitting in the stands and avoid loitering in other areas
✅ All students in grades K-6 must be accompanied by an adult to attend games
✅ Students in grades 7-12 should sit in the designated student area
Thank you in advance for helping everyone stay safe while supporting our student activities!

REMINDER: There will be no classes on Friday, October 25! 🗓️

Reading with your child is one of the BEST ways to help them succeed and become a reader! 📚
15-20 minutes of reading together each day can significantly impact your child’s learning. It’s a valuable way to prepare your child for the future! #MISDInspire #MISDOwnYourFuture

REMINDER: Please fill out our Needs Assessment Survey conducted by the Iowa Association of School Boards and share your thoughts. The survey takes about 9 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous!

Students in KP used a cooperative learning technique called “quiz, quiz, trade” to practice letter sound identification. This learning structure encourages collaboration and active participation. It’s a fun, interactive way to reinforce skills. #lesinspire #misdinspire

Students in Mrs. Beckner's class are learning about trees in science. Today they went outside and collected things that come from trees and then sorted them. Next they’ll talk about food that comes from trees. #lesinspire #misdinspire

At soft start time, Ms. Jenni's preschool class works on fine motor activities. This week they are making playdough monsters, using pattern blocks to make fall shapes, matching colored beads on spider pictures, and matching paper to glue on a candy corn picture. #lesinspire #misdinspire
