Special congratulations to Mrs. Adams, our 5th/6th grade band teacher! She was notified over the weekend that she has earned the title of National Board Certified Teacher! The process to receive this teaching credential entails a great deal of work writing portfolio entries, creating and reflecting upon teaching videos, and demonstrating her music expertise through extensive content area testing. This is a huge accomplishment!

The students took notes on the clothing, customs, traditions, food, education, language, sports, and other aspects of each country's culture. They presented their findings in either a slideshow, tri-fold presentation, or movie format. Some classes enjoyed traditional dishes, snacks, and drinks from around the world. #vmsinspire
