Congratulations to the VMS Jazz Band for earning second place at the Coe College Jazz Summit! Vernon competed against many other middle school bands across the state to earn this high honor. Also, congratulations to Abram B. who earned the "Outstanding Performer" award! Only one student was selected from all soloists competing in the middle school classification. On Saturday, February 18th, eight VMS band students participated in the Young Musicians Honor Band. Students rehearsed all day with talented guest conductors and presented a wonderful finale concert at Prairie High School.
