✨ We welcome Chelsie Badger as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Longfellow Elementary!
Chelsie grew up and went to school in Texas. Her family recently decided to move to Iowa to be closer to relatives. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, reading, cooking, and watching movies.
Chelsie says, "When we were exploring where to put down roots, Marion and the amazing community really stood out to us as a wonderful place to live and raise a family."

New Teacher Orientation was a success and our new teachers were all ready to go for Day 1! Two days of learning and networking wrapped up with a special thanks to Farmers State Bank (FSB) for providing a delicious lunch from LJ's for our new teachers and their mentors.

Our MISD Summer Meals Program is still going strong! 🍏 Families with children 18 and under can visit Starry Elementary Monday-Friday for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9:30am and lunch is from 11:30am to 1:00pm. We welcome ALL families, so feel free to stop by!
We will be updating our parking lot lines on August 1st. Please note that parking lots throughout the district will be temporarily closed on Thursday, August 1st to allow for the painting and drying of parking lot lines.
