Kindergarten finished their unit on Colonial Towns and Townspeople. For their culminating activity, Mrs. Beckner’s class made butter! They realized how hard it would have been to live in colonial times, but they definitely enjoyed the fruits of their labor! #lesinspire #misdinspire

We did it! We hit our goal of 100,000 minutes read at home! That means we earned an Inflatable Day sponsored by the Parent Group next Friday. Keep those reading logs coming! The class with the most minutes read at home by next Thursday earns extra jump time!
Stay tuned for one more reading challenge this year! #lesinspire #misdinspire

Second grade entomologists have been studying insects during their CKLA Knowledge time. 🐜 Students have gone through the writing process of planning, drafting, editing, and publishing an informational narrative writing. ✍️ They even created realistic diagrams of their insect’s body parts. Students chose which insect they’d like to pretend to be and wrote about a day in their life. Ask your second grade friends which insect they researched! Is their insect social 🐝 or solitary 🦋? Does it go though a complete 🐛 or incomplete metamorphosis? All you need is a #secondgradeexpert. ☺️
