Students in Foods 3 competed in the Food Truck Face-Off for the best themed menu, truck design, and best dish. Our winners this year were K.A.E Acai Food Truck and Up and At Em Breakfast Food Truck. Congratulations to all the competitors, and thank you to our judges for your time and taste buds!

Students were able to attend Hospitality Day at Kirkwood. Students learned about the programs offered at the Kirkwood Hotel and Learning Center while meeting current students and staff. Students enjoyed learning about the endless career possibilities in these fields.

Marion students attended the Eastern Iowa Build My Future event at Hawkeye Downs. They connected with local professionals in the trades, gained hands-on experience, and explored a variety of career paths. It was a great opportunity for students to see real-world skills in action and start thinking about their future beyond the classroom.

Mundorf’s sophomore English class played a literary device Pin-the-Tail on the Pig game using quotes from Lord of the Flies. One person wore the blindfold, and the rest had to practice their leadership skills by giving directions. One group dominated the island! 🏝️ 🐷 🪰


Students from the Marion High School TAP program visited Winslow House to provide manicures for residents while practicing essential small talk and customer service skills. This hands-on experience allowed students to gain professional insight into careers in cosmetology, healthcare, and other people-oriented fields. It's safe to say, the students nailed it!
