In case you missed it: Congratulations to the state champion Sprint Medley Relay team of Bristol Beachler, Kendyl Aarhus, Abby Cave, and Hayden Dietz, who set a new school record with a winning time of 1:46.46!
The Distance Medley Relay team of Bristol Beachler, Kendyl Aarhus, Hayden Dietz, and Addison Dabroski also set a school record, earning runner-up honors with a time of 4:01.74.
Additional state qualifiers included Avery Case, Emerson Dabroski, and Imari Michaels, helping make this one of the largest groups of student-athletes from the program to compete at the state meet in recent years.

Marion Transition Center visited the Spirit Cafe for lunch on Friday. The Spirit Cafe is a student-run cafe in the heart of Oskaloosa serving breakfast and lunch from 9-2 on weekdays. What an amazing experience for students to learn skills, earn credits, & serve their community! They also showcased student-made merchandise to buy. And the food and service were AMAZING!

Today, our seniors hit the field to rehearse for commencement. This Sunday, they’ll make Marion history as the first graduating class to hold graduation at the new stadium. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and can’t wait to celebrate this milestone alongside friends and family this weekend!

Students in Foods 3 competed in the Food Truck Face-Off for the best themed menu, truck design, and best dish. Our winners this year were K.A.E Acai Food Truck and Up and At Em Breakfast Food Truck. Congratulations to all the competitors, and thank you to our judges for your time and taste buds!

Students were able to attend Hospitality Day at Kirkwood. Students learned about the programs offered at the Kirkwood Hotel and Learning Center while meeting current students and staff. Students enjoyed learning about the endless career possibilities in these fields.
