The high school recently hosted a career fair open to all students. The career fair was planned by a wonderful group of students who learned about event planning and execution. Congratulations to Lauren Moenk, a member of our Class of 2024! 💫🎓 She’ll be headed to the University of Iowa to study radiation sciences. “My favorite high school memory would have to be cheering at our new football stadium for the first time this year,” she says.


Congratulations to Marcos Doolin, a member of our Class of 2024! 🎓🌟 Marcos plans to attend Emmaus Bible College in the fall to pursue pastoral ministry and secondary education. One of his fondest memories from MISD is his involvement in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

We’re shining a spotlight on the MHS Class of 2024! 🎓🎉 During his time at MISD, Corey Robertson’s fondest memories were getting to create stories & poetry in his creative writing class. He plans to attend Kirkwood Community College before eventually starting a small business.


Attention Seniors ! ! !


Students attended the annual Hospitality Day event at The Kirkwood Hotel. This event featured culinary and hospitality management program graduates, banquet space and hotel tours, panel lectures with industry professionals, and tastings of various chocolates and Italian vs local prosciutto. Students then toured a local business owned by a kirkwood graduate called The Hangry Lady in Newbo market. Student also tried ice cream from another local business, Almost Famous Popcorn Company.

Spanish 2 students completed their Thumbprint stories describing daily routines in Spanish.
