Our GIC class wrapped up construction on ten 7-foot garden beds and is now working on 13 medium and 25 small flower boxes. They’ve also started their quadratics unit! Next week, WRAP (Wheelchair Ramp Accessibility Program) will visit to help students learn how to design and estimate the cost of a wheelchair ramp. The class will then create a custom design for a Marion home and take a field trip to help build it. #MISDinspire #MISDOwnYourFuture

To celebrate achievements in ISASP testing, numerous students received gifts and awards! Including getting to silly string their favorite teachers!

Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate was in the school today to award our senior class with the Carrie Chapman Catt Award. This is awarded to a senior class who registered over 90% of their class as registered voters. MHS is only the second school in Linn County to ever win this award! Thank you to government teacher, Mr. Mitchell, for all his efforts in accomplishing this incredible achievement.
