Key points about PPEL:
- Renewal of the PPEL Levy will NOT increase Property Taxes
The PPEL Funds provide:
- Maintenance for facilities
- Technology, allowing us to be 1:1
- Equipment such as mowers, manlift, floor scrubbers
- Bus and vans for student transportation
- Security equipment to keep students safe (cameras, door systems, etc.)
- PPEL generates about $1M per year
- The MISD tax rate has remained steady the past 7 years.
