Vernon artists have been hard at work creating and showcasing creative designs in Mrs. Hale's seventh and eighth grade art classes.
Seventh grade art students designed a functioning whistle built from a basic form. That basic form needed to be concealed in the final product. Discussion and strategy of design determined the success of the whistle.
Eighth graders designed a functioning Tic Tac Toe board with a clear theme that coordinated with original X and O pieces. The design and shape of the board needed to work well with the pieces, allowing them to fit well. The design process often needed revision or reworking to make this happen. Students reviewed each other's design to give valuable feedback.
