We have been working with ISU Extension to create a FASTWORKS Virtual monthly program.
This program will be Parent Cafes. Parent Cafes are an opportunity for parents and caregivers to come together to talk about the joys and challenges of raising a family. Participants will engage in small group discussions with peers, share stories, and reflect on personal experiences. These group discussions will be peer led and include a range of parenting topics relating to the five protective factors - resilience, relationships, knowledge, support and communication.
The Parent Cafe will be led by the parent FASTWORKS coordinator for each building and will be supported by ISU Extension staff - and me.
