The engineers in 2T have been studying various solid objects and using properties to describe them. Today they built towers thinking about which materials would create a stable enough foundation to support a 45 centimeter tall tower. They learned that engineers can’t give up on the first try and stable towers are TOUGH to build! 😉 #lesinspire #misdinspire

Second graders have been learning about the War of 1812 during Knowledge time. This week they had the opportunity to use a new app called Pebble Go Next to do some deeper investigation on James Madison. 🧐 Did you know he was our 4th president? 🇺🇸 Did you know he had a wife named Dolley Madison? Did you know during this war the British set the White House on fire? 🔥 If you want to know more, ask a second grader! ☺️ Pebble Go Next is a great app to use with your student as they can search for their subject, read information, have the information read aloud to them, and even watch a video! #lesinspre #misdinspire

Ms. Ann’s preschool class filled their paw pyramid by showing the Marion Way! To celebrate, our custodian, Mr. Tim came in as a surprise reader!

‘Tis the season to give back! Make a donation to our nutrition fund to directly support MISD students and families this holiday season. ❤️
Every student deserves a healthy meal, and we never turn away those in need of breakfast or lunch. Unfortunately, meal costs can add up, leaving some families with debt.
Your donation, big or small, makes a lasting impact on the education and well-being of our students.
