Parkview Preschoolers worked on story retelling after reading “If You Give A Mouse a Cookie!” It is part of a Literacy STEM grant that MISD received! Student’s will get a chance to retell the story in a couple of weeks using BOTS! #misdinspire #parkviewinspire

Kindergartners are learning about Life Long Ago in Social Studies. Mrs. Beckner’s class did a gallery walk and looked at 4 different photos of children playing long ago. They discussed the photos in their groups then came together as a class to talk about their findings. #lesinspire #misdinspire

VMS 6th grade social studies classes traveled back in time and wrote in the earliest form of written language, Cuneiform. Thank you to 6th grade parents for their help making salt dough, which became the clay tablets that we inscribed. They'll be dry enough to go home next week!

VMS Boys Basketball Update (2/6): Independence does not have school today, so there will be no games tonight. This game will not be made up, and there will also be no practice after school. VMS Girls Wrestling is still on for this afternoon at 4:15 pm, but will now be a duel.

Marion Independent will run a 2 hour late start this morning. No AM preschool. State wrestlers and cheer team will leave on time as planned. Drive safely everyone!

Vernon has both Boys Basketball and Girls Wrestling activities tonight. Seventh Grade Basketball is at home versus Independence, Eighth Grade Basketball is at Independence, and Girls Wrestling will compete at Mount Vernon. All events start at 4:15 pm. Good luck to our athletes!
