Marion Independent School District is planning our second annual Mental Health & Disabilities Resource Fair for all area families who have students with disabilities, mental health issues, and/or other differences that may impact daily life. This event will be held Tuesday, November 19th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Marion High School.
This will be an open house event with all community resource tables set up in the gym. In addition, this year we are partnering with Linn-Mar. Linn-Mar is collaborating with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services to schedule informational sessions for families to attend during the open house event in our school auditorium.

Marion High School’s Cosmetology Club got into the Halloween spirit today with spooky makeup. The club meets Mondays during M Block in Ms Bliss’s room and is open to any MHS students wanting to join. We will have guest speakers from various businesses throughout the year to talk about their career path and work on skills the students express interest in.

This weekend, 31 MHS students traveled to Independence to audition for spots in the 2024 All-State Band, Choir, and Orchestra. 5 students were selected to participate. Matthew Sloan was selected for the All-State Choir. Ella Adolphs was selected for a 4th year on Oboe to play in the All-State Orchestra. Aaron Piper also was selected for a 4th time on trombone. Abram Booms was selected for a second time to play in the band, and Jamon Buhr was selected as a bassoon player for the band. Congratulations to all 5 students and to everyone who auditioned!

✅ Students in grades 7-12 should sit in the designated student area
