First graders have been working on a STEM kit extending their learning about the moon from the CKLA astronomy unit they recently finished. Throughout the last week they completed many activities that included testing materials and making a spacesuit that can withstand the heat and cold of the moon and any debris that might hit it. They also took their BeeBots to "the moon" and created codes and programmed their BeeBots to complete various tasks like collecting moon rocks, finding footprints, and getting home. #lesinspire #misdinspire

The Marion Transition Center was created recently to serve our Marion students. The Transition Center aims to equip students with life and vocational skills to achieve maximum independence in adulthood. It fosters meaningful community and workplace experiences while promoting self-advocacy, self-determination, and skills like self-monitoring and goal setting. The center also provides opportunities to explore recreation and leisure activities available to adults and respects each student’s right to make choices about their future.
Last year one of our very own students created the logo and design that was adopted by the Marion School Board. We are prepared to equip our students and staff with everything to represent the Transition Center with. We have shirts, sweatshirts, cups (can be personalized), hats, and stickers.
Click on the link or scan the QR Code to begin your order. We will have the merchandise ready about 2 weeks after the store closes. It will be open until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28th.
