VMS Band Concerts are tonight! 5th and 6th Grade performs at 6:00 pm, and 7th and 8th Grade performs at 7:00 pm. Both concerts will be held in the Vernon Gymnasium.

Kelli Johnson received the 2023 Iowa Elementary School Counselor of the Year for her dedicated work at MISD's Starry Elementary School as their School Counselor. Kelli received the award at the Iowa School Counselor Association Conference.

Spanish classes celebrated the iconic Mexican holiday of Día de los muertos by creating an ofrenda, enjoying some delicious food, and by honoring lost loved ones with colorful butterflies





The VMS Band Program is thrilled to have received a Marion Foundation Grant in the amount of $3118, which will help to fund student instrument purchases and allow for improved access and equity and remove barriers for participation in band. #vmsinspire

The Vernon Eighth Grade Band members joined the MHS Marching Band to perform as a pep band together at the MHS Senior Night Football Game on October 13th. Due to rain, the event was held indoors, allowing our students to still have a great performance experience! #vmsinspire
