Vernon's 8th graders dug deep with academic questions and discussions around the rights and protections the constitution gives us and why we need to protect those rights. Students also were shown one of their most impactful civic duties: How to Vote!
Constitutional Week wrapped up today with 2 lucky winners being the first to know the 6 goals of the Preamble of the United States Constitution- Congrats Jamon & Macie!

7th grade Social Studies students celebrated Constitution Day with the game "Do I Have a Right?" where they run their own firm of lawyers who specialize in constitutional law. They decide if potential clients have a right, match them with the best lawyer, and win their case!
It's Constitution Week at VMS! Fifth Grade students are completing their Constitution Game during Social Studies learning more about the Constitution, Bill of Rights, the Founding Fathers, and the Constitutional Convention.
More Constitution Week fun at VMS! Sixth Grade students in Mr. Mayrose and Mr. Woods' classrooms are working through deeper academic discussions about the Preamble, the Articles, and the Amendments. Our students can really ask great questions!
