VMS Benton Track Meet Report from Coaches Kenny and Menken: "The Marion 8th Grade Girls Track Team competed on April 24th at the always tough Benton Community track meet in Van Horne. After being out several key members of the team due to illness and various school-related activities, the girls finished in 6th place out of 8 teams. The Girls 7th Grade Track Team had a beautiful night for a track meet at the Bobcat Relays in Benton on April 24. The team scored 69 points placing 5th out of 8 teams and only missing 4th by three points! The girls had good hand-offs, scored 24 points in the field events (thanks to Berklie and Kinsley placing 1st and 2nd in the discus, respectively, and Sophia placing 3rd in the High Jump). The girls next compete at Independence on April 30. Well Done, Lady Wolves!
