Today, we’d like to shine a spotlight on Kim DeWulf, a Title I reading specialist who is marking 32 years in MISD! ✨She previously served as a kindergarten teacher in our schools.
“I have been fortunate to spend my whole career in MISD,” Kim says. “What I find special about this district is its ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where individuals are supported to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.”

In his free time, Eric enjoys hiking, writing and performing music, studying nature, getting off the grid, and drawing.
We’d like to shine the spotlight on Jenni Ringwald, a preschool teacher who just finished her 25th year in MISD! 🎉v“The people at Marion are incredible to work with!” she says. Outside of school, Jenni enjoys reading, gardening, and attending and volunteering for local live theater shows. 🎭

Our School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) recently met to review year-end data and explore ways to enhance parent engagement. 📈
Their recommendations included enhancing communication of student goals with parents, involving all students in the goal-setting process, and facilitating smoother transitions between schools and grade levels. Their feedback will be instrumental as MISD continues to work on improving student achievement.

She plans on attending Iowa State University to major in accounting, with a minor in dance. During her time in our schools, she enjoyed all the team dinners throughout football season for poms, the end-of-the-year celebrations for show choir and wrestling, and spending senior year with her friends!
Kinley Claypool is graduating with the Class of 2024! 💫🎓 She enjoyed taking AP Chemistry at Linn Mar her junior year and cheering at football games with her best friends! She plans to study chemistry (pre-med) at @UCF. #MISDOwnYourFuture #WeAre2024
